EXPANDED FUNDING OPPORTUNITY
2008 - 2009
MIDDLESEX COUNTY SUBSTANCE ABUSE ACTION COUNCIL
DEVELOPMENTAL DOLLARS PROGRAM
The Middlesex County Substance Abuse Action Council (MCSAAC) has substantially increased the funds available for Developmental Dollars, a program open to all youth groups, clubs, camps, schools, churches, and community agencies.
The grants of $500 to $1,500 may be used for activities that help youth ages 10-17 build healthy lives and resist the use of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs. MCSAAC seeks creative, short-term projects that give middle and high school youth an opportunity to build strengths by contributing to their community, working with their peers, and teaching younger children.
The Developmental Dollars program fosters local prevention efforts by rewarding creative prevention programs with operating funds. Applications can be obtained by calling the MCSAAC office at 860.347.5959 or emailing info@mcsaac.org.
Note the deadline is June 11, 2008.
**If you are a 2007 Developmental Dollars awardee, you MUST have your Final Report submitted in order to apply for 2008 funds.
Call the MCSAAC office (860.347.5959) with any questions.
PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD TO ANY GROUP IN YOUR COMMUNITY WORKING WITH YOUTH!
